Dear Lord,
For the hunter that is discouraged,
May your light disperse the shadows.
For the hunter who has put in many hours and miles but has yet to bring home meat,
Please provide a harvest.
To the hunter who can no longer hunt because of physical limitations,
May the retelling of tales from the field afford warm memories.
For the long-time hunter whose passion is waning,
Please rekindle the flame.
To the novice hunter who has much to learn,
Please bestow an extra measure of grace and opportunities to grow.
And to all hunters that venture out this season,
Please reveal your glorious nature in all their surroundings
and provide a safe trail home.
