For some reason, food is just way more fun to eat when it’s on a stick. Chicken satay, steak kebabs, marshmallows, corn dogs…. So why not breakfast? You can turn almost anything into breakfast kebabs: pancakes, waffles, eggs, ham, fruit, and the list goes on. It’s fun to get really creative with it (and maybe even use up some breakfast leftovers), too! Plus, they’re are a hit with kids.
Some leftover venison breakfast sausage inspired these wild sausage mcmuffin breakfast kebabs. Here’s how to
make them:
-
- Cut the sausage (any kind of sausage will do) into bite-sized pieces.
- Skewer them up on either long bamboo skewers or large party toothpicks (for a mini version) along with some some toasted/buttered English muffin pieces, scrambled cheesy eggs, and wild huckleberries, blueberries, or whatever fruit you like.
Pro mom tip: Put a bunch of breakfast kebabs together on the weekend and refrigerate in an airtight container. Simply reheat for a quick and wholesome breakfast!
